Nitro World Games Wales 2020 Cancelled

The highly anticipated Nitro World Games Wales 2020 in Cardiff event has been cancelled.
The annual extreme sports event which started in the United States in 2016, was due to take place at Principality Stadium next month. Over 100 of the world’s best athletes in FMX, BMX, Skate, and Scooter were due to compete over the two-day event in which fans could witness the biggest tricks and record breaking stunts across multiple disciplines.
Nitro delighted us with a flavour of the action last year when performing a record-breaking motocross stunt over Caerphilly Castle in September and this was due to be the first time the event has been taken outside of the US and across the Atlantic to the UK.
All Principality Stadium customers who’ve purchased a hospitality package for this event will be contacted shortly by a member of staff to arrange a refund.
Official statement:
“We are very disappointed to announce that, Nitro World Games 2020 due to take place across 23 and 24 May 2020 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales has to be cancelled.
All parties have been working closely to explore all possible avenues for a reschedule. However, given the rapidly evolving and unprecedented situation and the uncertainty on when mass gatherings will be feasible, finding a new date has not been possible. Therefore, the decision to cancel has been made to best protect the safety and wellbeing of fans, athletes, staff and the local community, which is always our top priority.
All ticket holders will be contacted by their point of purchase in due course to process a refund. Please only contact your point of purchase if you have not been contacted after 5 days as they are very busy at this time.
Our thoughts are with all those affected by COVID-19. For now, stay safe, stay home, and look after each other.”
