COVID Passes no longer required for Principality Stadium
9th March 2022, 3:07 pm By Principality Stadium
NHS Covid Passes will no longer be a requirement of entry to the remaining Guinness Six Nations games at Principality Stadium.
The change falls in line with the Welsh Government announcement on the 18th February that the domestic COVID pass would no longer be required for entry into indoor or outdoor events and is part of a phased plan in lifting restrictions.
COVID passes required an extra check point at the gates which will no longer be in place therefore the phased entry system will also no longer be in operation. However, we are urging supporters, whilst phased entry is no longer a condition of entry to Principality Stadium, to arrive early, beat the queues and enjoy the matchday experience.
In addition to this, we strongly advise supporters to follow Welsh Government guidelines and wear a face mask on the internal concourses and whilst travelling through the stadium.
Mark Williams, Principality Stadium Manager said, “We have worked with Welsh Government throughout this pandemic, and we will continue to work with them as we phase restrictions out of the match day experience as required. I’m extremely proud of our achievement, delivering four incredible Autumn Nations Cup matches, safely, to a record breaking 270,000 fans during what was a very challenging time. The Guinness Six Nations is a world class tournament and the safety and wellbeing of our supporters and staff is at the top of my agenda as we phase out restrictions.
If you’re attending the Wales v France this coming Friday, NHS Covid passes will not be needed however, doors open from 17:30 and we’re advising supporters to get in early. We will be scanning digital tickets at the gate so please remember to transfer any tickets to friends or family attending the game with you to save time when you arrive.
We want everyone who comes to this stadium to have a fantastic experience, please enjoy yourself but behave responsibly. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank fans for their continued support and cooperation.”
