Arriva Trains Wales is advising customers and fans to allow plenty of time for their journeys if travelling by train to the Wales v Germany European Championship qualifier football match this Saturday (8 September).

The game will kick-off at the Millennium Stadium at 7.30 p.m. and around 25,000 fans are expected in Cardiff.

Train services into and out of Cardiff Central and Cardiff Queen Street stations will be busy.  Ticket barriers will be operating at Cardiff Central and Cardiff Queen Street Stations and fans are reminded to buy their tickets from booking offices or self service machines before boarding their train where possible.

Peter Northcott, special events manager for Arriva Trains Wales, advised fans to allow plenty of time for their journeys He added: We strongly advise anyone not travelling to the match to plan their journey in advance so as to avoid the busy periods immediately before and after the game.”
