Take That’s Progress Live 2011 tour has smashed box office records to become the biggest Tour in UK and Irish history – and some of the hottest tickets are still available to see Gary, Howard, Jason, Mark and Robbie on Wednesday, 15 June, 2011 at the Millennium Stadium.
Limited availability on exclusive hospitality packages are up for grabs from £189 per person at the venue that brings the biggest and best live music acts to Cardiff, after the Millennium Stadium scooped a second date with the most exciting reunion in pop due to phenomenal demand.
The “Take That Bar Package” (at £189 per person) includes a category A concert ticket, access to the VIP hospitality areas, a DJ with all the favourite Take That and Robbie Williams songs, cocktails and popcorn on arrival and an unlimited bar.
Record hospitality sales were recorded at the iconic venue when Progress Live 2011 went on sale to the public at 9.00am last Friday and the remaining tickets are expected to be snapped up very soon.
Over 3,000 revellers enjoyed the best seats in the house for Take That’s The Circus Live Tour in Cardiff last year and Stadium Manager Gerry Toms is expecting to hit capacity for Progress Live 2011.
“There is a huge demand for Take That tickets in Cardiff,” he said. “Last time the band was in town they put on a phenomenal show for over 120,000 fans and they have already announced that they’ve smashed their previous box office record set with The Circus Live Tour.
“It’s been a busy few days at the Millennium Stadium and we have now sold out all tickets for both dates. The limited remaining hospitality packages for the second Cardiff gig are the last chance for fans to be at what promises to be a fantastic event.”
A record breaking 1.34 million tickets were snapped up in less than 24 hours for Take That’s 2011 tour and massive demand for the tickets caused phone lines and websites across the country to jam as ticket agents struggled to cope with the unprecedented number of people trying to buy tickets.
Ticketmaster alone had 20 million page impressions by early evening and BT said the national telephone network had received between three and four times the normal number of calls.
Takethat.com had 1.5 million views in October with 650,000 on Friday alone, 90% of those from the UK. As a comparison, ladygaga.com’s biggest month for UK traffic was March 2010 with 760,000 visits and her biggest ever day for UK traffic was 104,000 visits.
