Cardiff’s heath and beauty professionals fostered valuable relationships at the Millennium Stadium’s first Health and Wellbeing Show, hosted by the Stadium’s catering and hospitality provider, Compass Group UK and Ireland, at the famous home of Welsh sport.

More than 150 guests from the Welsh health and beauty sector gathered in the city-centre venue yesterday to promote their products and services at the free-to-enter exhibition targeted at ladies in Wales.

Gemma Davies from Curves, a ladies-only fitness centre in Cardiff, attended the event to encourage guests to sign up and make healthier lifestyle choices.

She said: “It is very important to keep fit and healthy and I’m sure that women in Cardiff will find that they spend a lot of money on maintaining their health and beauty. What we offer at Curves is a competitive price per month for the health benefits of physical fitness that can be achieved by our members.”

She was delighted with the opportunity to chat to guests about the benefits promoted by her and her team at Curves: “Taking part in the Professional Health and Wellbeing exhibition has been very good as we have met a lot of potential new members,” said Gemma.

“I am pleased that we’ve had the opportunity to network with local businesses and discuss how we can work together to promote our products and services here in Cardiff.”

Millennium Stadium ezine subscriber and guest at the Health and Wellbeing Show, Carol Clarke, who works for Welsh Assembly Government said: “As you get older, in particular, it is important to keep healthy.”

“I’ve enjoyed having a chat with the people from Curves, picked up some free vitamin drinks and watched my friend have a henna tattoo. I would definitely be interested in attending events like this in the future.”

“While the Stadium is famed for its world-class sporting and entertainment events, not everyone is aware of the conference and banqueting facilities that we have available in this city-centre location.

“The Health and Wellbeing Show was a great opportunity for Compass Group UK and Ireland to showcase the different types of events and that can be brought to this great venue.”
